Paying it forward

There have been so many things in my life that make me feel very fortunate, there have also been just as many things that makes me feel like my luck got flushed down the toilet but I have decided to concentrate on the positives and pay it forward. On 8/2/08 I lost my friend Melissa to breast cancer. When she first got diagnosed, we all thought she would pull through it, after all, she was only 34 years old. I promised her I would walk the Susan G. Komen Walk for a Cure for her, in her honor and in support of her, now unfortunately it has to be in memory of her. I also have a woman, age 35, that I work with who just had her first dose of chemo on 9/11/08 for breast cancer. I have almost reach my required fundraising goal but need a bit of help. I am a bit over $600 short and the walk is October 17,18 and 19. If anyone reads this and would like to help, email me at have5men@comcast.net . You can also look me up on the 3 Day site at www.The3Day.org . My name is Rae Edelman, my participant ID # is 1594814, the location of the walk is in Philadelphia. I am on a team named Pink Angels. The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a remarkable journey designed to raise funds and awareness for Susan G. Komen for the Cure and National Philanthropic Trust. I must raise at least $2,200 in order to participate, but I hope I raise much more! I am inviting you to support me and join the global movement to end breast cancer forever!! I am walking 60 miles over 3 days because everyone deserves a lifetime!!
